Usopp, from the anime series *One Piece*, is a core member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He first appears in episode 17 of the anime, titled "Anger Explosion! Kuro vs. Luffy, Conclusion!"

Initially presented as the cowardly sharpshooter of the crew, Usopp's defining characteristic is his penchant for tall tales and his eventual growth in courage and confidence. He dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea, inspired by his pirate father, Yasopp, a member of Shanks' Red Hair Pirates.

While often reliant on trickery and elaborate plans, Usopp's skills as a sniper and inventor become invaluable to the Straw Hats. He designs and maintains the crew's weaponry, including Nami's Clima-Tact. As the series progresses, he overcomes his fears and takes on increasingly challenging battles, proving his worth to his crewmates.
